The main objective of this work is to assess possibilities for improving the existing conditions and increasing capacity of two traffic loaded locations in the city of Hradec Králové. The first assessed locality is the road I/35 in the section of the roundabout Plotiště – Labský bridge, which is heavily congested with freight transit transport. The work includes transport engineering assessment of documentation processed by the company Eltodo for partial reconstruction and adjustment of the transport scheme, which should improve passability of this road in the direction from the city. The second assessed locality, the intersection of roads I/31 x I/37 (Sokolská x Střelecká x Rašínova), is facing similar traffic problems, therefore the proposal designs interventions into the management system of the intersection (adjusting control of traffic light devices) and construction modifications of the intersection. The contractor is the city of Hradec Králové, the project was finished on 9/2010.
