 2000 – Structure of the Marian Bridge was proclaimed as one of 10 most significant bridge and engineering structures of the world in the last decade of the 20th century by the International Association for Bridge and Structural Engineering (IABSE), the largest and oldest association of bridge and construction engineers joining together 100 national associations from around the world.
