The project documentation in the stage of realisation documentation for construction (RDS) and documentation for actual construction implementation (DSPS) processed in 2011 was addressing reconstruction of the existing intersection of roads II/270 x II/268 to a roundabout. Construction of a new 5-leg roundabout improved transport safety of this frequented roads. The work included relocation of utility mains. The project further addressed movement of pedestrians and cyclists in the roundabout and its surroundings, and a design for adjacent parking premises for personal vehicles. The solution of a roundabout includes a new fountain with a replica of the statue of the original fountain. Construction of new sidewalks and improvement of drainage of the roundabout contributed to increased safety and cultivation of the territory.
