The project was aimed at analyzing conditions of transport networks in the Czech Republic and proposing methods for optimal allocation of investment funds for development of transport networks in the Czech Republic until the year 2010, with a view to the year 2015. This assessment and proposal for allocation of investment activities in time and space for transport infrastructure was based on evaluation of changes in development of transport demands and macroeconomic aspects of the state. Furthermore, input needs for deciding on allocation were specified, including updated traffic intensities (traffic census), forecasts for transport market and results of the process TINA. The proposal part contained 3 scenarios of possible development – the pessimistic, realistic and optimistic variant. These variants differed, within its financial limits, in pace of implementation of objectives for individual transport modes, proportion of distribution of investment and non-investment resources and order of individual investment actions. Content of these variants was harmonised with approved and assessed development programmes, therefore, this created concept didn’t require new approval by SEA on impacts on the environment.
