The purpose of this documentation is to identify possible technical solution of leading the regional route Ring Road around Prague and to compare this solution with the existing proposal for the Ring Roud around Prague, route 511. While the current proposal is based on approved documents for development of the road network of the Czech Republic, the route of the regional variant is shifted to the east (outside the cadastral territory of the capital city Prague) and is based on requirements of civil associations. Both variants are compared in various criteria, in particular assessment of the transport function, safety aspects and financial performance. For the regional route, the issue of passing through the territory was analysed, focusing on identification of possible conflicts and potential critical areas. The contractor is the Directorate of Roads and Highways of the Czech Republic, the project was finished on 7/2011.
